At Mayo Clinic, I supported the Platform team by designing guides and resources that translate complex healthcare programs into clear, actionable tools for partner hospital systems, driving adoption and improving patient access to expert care.

The Ask: 

Create a guide showcasing partnership opportunities for hospital systems, translating complex, technical content into an engaging, accessible format. Hospital partners had to understand program benefits, compliance requirements, and available tools — all while ensuring consistency across the Mayo Clinic brand and its sub-brands included in the guide.

As designer, I led the visual translation of complex content into a usable guide:

  • Partnered with the copywriter to structure heavy technical content into accessible, actionable sections.

  • Sourced photography and designed layouts that aligned with Mayo Clinic’s brand and enhanced readability.

  • Created visual systems that highlighted key program benefits, ensuring hospital partners could quickly identify opportunities.

  • Ensured the guide could be used as a reference across the growing Care Network, maintaining consistency in messaging and visual identity.

The Results: 

  • The guide launched in Spring 2023, supporting 45 hospital systems in the network at the time

  • Improved access to expert care (virtual second opinions, clinical resources) for hundreds of thousands of patients

  • Contributed to consistent branding and messaging across the growing network
